Grades 7 & 8 - Monday Grades 9-12 - Day 2
CELEBRATING CANNED FOOD DRIVE 2010 LAUNCHING
This Sunday is the fifth Sunday of Lent in the Catholic calendar. In the Sunday reading, John tells the miracle story of the raising of Lazarus. Jesus being the light of the world, John informs us that Jesus is also the source of life and that he cares for his fellow man and woman. This story can be understood as a parable in a number of way s to comprehend our faith and see Jesus as the human flesh in which God is at work. Yet, it can also be interpreted as a great example for each one of us to take the time and go out of our way to assist our neighbour who is in need of our assistance. This week, Holy Trinity Catholic High School will officially launch its annual Canned Food Drive that will bring dired assistance to our Neighbours who access regularly the Kanata Food Cupboard and Shepherds Of Good Hope.
We know that our school community will come through once again and will provide great support to this worthy cause. Let us all give generously and do make a difference in someone else's life.
